If you've never housed a cat (notice I didn't use the word "owned"), you probably won't quite get this short-and-sweet book. Back when I was growing up on a farm in southwestern Ohio, at one time I counted 28 roaming around in the yard (my neatnik mother wouldn't hear of letting any kind of animal inside her pristine home). But I, as a feline-lover, gave names to each and every one (Paderewski, for instance, because, as the old joke goes, he was the "peein'est" cat I ever met).

Once I left home for college, subsequently marrying a guy from northeastern Ohio and settling down there, I made sure that our home included a cat. Back then, when spaying and neutering just weren't very important in the overall scheme of things, the number of whiskered friends increased, although - since my otherwise sweet husband wasn't quite as enthusiastic about kitties as I was - none except the Daddy or Mommy was allowed inside the house.

These, too, got names - often reflecting their personalities. Muhammad Ali Cat, for instance, was a cool coal black critter who roamed the night, many times returning home with another notch in one of his ears that was no doubt earned in the heat of battle. The less said about Sh**t Head the better - the name is all the clue you need as to her behavior.

So it is that I can relate to this book, which spells out cat behavior alphabetically ("B" for Boxes, "S" for Shedding and so on). It's short - just 52 pages - and funny (there was not a single letter that didn't provide at chuckle, if not an outright guffaw). More to the point, it was right on target. There can be no cat lover who can't relate to "W" for Washing: "The only thing a cat loves more than a sparkly clean sphincter is an audience."

I just had to pick this book up after losing my special Burmese not long ago. I'm so glad I did! The book is full of dry humor and I had to giggle as I could relate to so many antics that my cat used to get up to. Just a nice, light, easy read for before bedtime...
This book is a quick read and contains some humorous insights that cat lovers will quickly identify with.
A great gift that any cat-lover would appreciate!! The author teaches us everything A to Z about cats with a sense of humor and funny illustrations! A fun read!
My big furry one was keeping me entertained while I read this. I think she must have been watching him and telling the world just how he was. She has owned and loved cats for a long time to describe them right on. Very funny and worth your time to read. It doesn't take long and will make your day.
A simple concept, well executed. An A to Z of all things cat. It will have you saying "So true!" as you read about the afflictions that the author suffers from her cats.

Must also remark on the pictures. Each letter is illustrated by an expertly drawn cartoon. Enjoyable light fun.
I chose this ebook to give it five stars for such a cute ,true lesson plan! I would say this ebook would definitely help make a decision on whether or not that've your own cat or cats! A also to know what one can expect or what not is unexpected of these felines! zits also a great ebook for for getting
someone to start laughing for medical purposes to lift up one's spirits, yes? I liked the story and it has definitely helped me make up my mind that zi had chosen to get a small a Beta fish in a small bowl as versus a cat or cats even if I was allowed to have pets like these! Which I am not allowed to have, see?
And Jesus, my husband. ow told me to give this ebook five stars,ok? I recommend this ebook for all the reasons I have already stated in this review!

I'm a long-time and big-time lover of cats. When I see a book on about anything related to cats, I usually download it. Often, the books end up being ho-hum and a big disappointment. Happily, that was not the case with Cats are All That by Meg Lambourne! -) This book is cat-o-licious from start to finish. -)

What did I like about this book? Well, actually everything!

Starting with the catchy and clever cover design, the format "a-z" is always something I like in these types of books, the writing is witty and oh so spot on throughout the book and the carton drawings perfectly compliment each section of the book.

Cat owners "put up with" a lot of fur balls, spit up food, "catitude" and all sorts of clever antics that are a part of what makes each cat unique. It's part of the bargain when it comes to being owned by one of these special furry pals. And in return, they give back soooo much love and entertainment beyond compare. Meg has captured this beautifully in this special book.

It's going to be a keeper on my for a long time to come.

Oh, by the way...Mr. Cheddar our feisty 15 lb. tabby gives this book the paws up! ;-) He was reading along on my lap, as I laughed my way through the pages.

Highly recommended!
