Melanie picked the wrong genre to write with the Christian audience in mind. If she had stuck to a western, comedy, adventure, or some type of mystery I think she would have sold a lot more copies, but no, she chose the genre of werewolves and vampires which few christians are going to buy. I just wasn't made to cvare for any of the characters and after reading this book I thought why was it even written. It isn't all that interesting.

Fun read with a new twist on the vampire - werewolf theme. Even though there is a minimum of violence, the story is exciting and moves along quicly.
A new twist on the ever so popular vampire/werewolf theme. Appropriate for younger readers (minimum of violence). Attractive for the Christian market.
Wolves amoung sheep is very unique compaired to all my vampire and wolf stories lining my book rack. At first i thought 'oh, a christian vampire story...?' But i as i started reading the book i found a huge fault the book was simply too short for me to care so much about the characters! Tammy and her pack, along with a vampire family on the edge, is pretty unique. I did miss some blood and gore, as that's just the fun of vamps and wolves. Something i enjoyed was the spin on vampires and being damned for eternity. One vampire is unsure of her immortal life, as media proclaims she'll obviously go to hell what with being a soulless being. Yet this book offers good christian overtone (good for protective parents) and a uniqueness some of us vampire fanatics will adore. I finished the book and quickly re-read it, wishing the author would've been more Fair by giving us an extra 100 pages for Tammy's antics into adult wolf-hood. It's a great book to read on a car ride, and i'm now shoving this book into my friends noses, anticipating a cult following of my personal favorite character Becky. I'm looking forward to a possible sequal to see what Tammy's been up to, and it's Fair to say anyone would enjoy this book and a sequal!
